Abstract

This article emphasizes the importance of recognizing and minimizing cancer-causing substances found within households. Common products—such as cleaning agents, plastics, cosmetics, and construction materials—can contain carcinogenic compounds like formaldehyde, benzene, and asbestos. Additionally, factors such as food handling, air quality, and infection-related exposures contribute to cancer risks. The paper underscores the critical role of education and community awareness in empowering families to make safer choices, particularly in low-resource settings where access to cancer treatment remains limited. Strengthening preventive practices at home can significantly reduce health risks and promote long-term well-being.
