Abstract

Home economics remains a vital yet underappreciated subject in today’s educational landscape. Moving beyond its traditional stereotypes, it provides interdisciplinary life skills that prepare students for real-world challenges in nutrition, financial literacy, consumer awareness, and health management. By dismantling gender-based assumptions and equipping learners with essential competencies, home economics fosters independence, resilience, and holistic growth. Reintroducing and modernizing this subject ensures that students are not only academically prepared but also capable of thriving in everyday life.
