Abstract

Academic leadership in higher education is evolving from traditional administration toward transformational, collaborative, and evidence-informed practice. This shift emphasizes distributed leadership, adaptability, shared decision-making, and people-centered institutional development in response to disruption and changing educational demands. Effective academic leaders therefore balance institutional accountability with innovation, collaboration, and a vision for sustainable transformation.
