Abstract

This paper examines the psychological impact of inadequate guidance and counseling services in state universities. It highlights how limited counseling resources, increasing student mental health needs, and insufficient institutional support contribute to emotional distress, poor academic performance, and career uncertainty. The paper emphasizes the importance of strengthening guidance services through increased staffing, preventive mental health programs, and institutional commitment to student well-being.
