Abstract

Chemistry education faces several challenges, including the abstract nature of chemical concepts, students’ negative perceptions of the subject, limited laboratory resources, curriculum overload, and evolving workforce demands. These barriers can hinder student understanding, motivation, and academic performance. To improve learning outcomes, educators should adopt inquiry-based approaches, integrate educational technologies, engage in continuous professional development, and foster supportive learning environments. Addressing these challenges can enhance students’ conceptual understanding, critical thinking skills, and preparedness for scientific and professional careers.
