Abstract

Youth apathy toward politics in the Philippines stems largely from negative emotions and limited political understanding, leading to declining voter turnout and disengagement from civic affairs. Without focused political education, this “silent generation” risks weakening democratic processes. Integrating robust civic instruction into the secondary curriculum can reignite engagement and foster informed, active citizenship.
