Abstract

Filipino educators face challenges far beyond their workload, including emotional and mental exhaustion stemming from inadequate institutional support and financial insecurity. Despite their multiple roles as teachers, counselors, and community workers, many endure poor working conditions, lack of resources, and a culture that normalizes sacrifice and silence. Addressing these issues requires systemic changes such as consistent compensation, mental health programs, relevant professional development, and collaborative support from government and civil society. Recognizing and responding to the real needs of teachers is essential to sustaining the teaching profession and securing the future of Filipino learners.
