This essay examines the widespread but often unnoticed crisis facing Filipino teachers, who are burdened with excessive workloads, low compensation, and a lack of institutional support. It draws on recent studies to highlight how burnout, administrative overload, and inadequate policy responses have pushed many educators to resign or seek opportunities abroad. The piece argues for urgent reforms in teacher welfare, salaries, and classroom support to safeguard the future of Philippine education.
